Product Description

The Mini PIR Sensor features a compact size board and can be mounted in a project through a hole in a case (only the PIR lens showing with all the electronics hidden inside the case). This makes it ideal in applications where users need to track movements with a small device or in projects that have to be sealed from high-humidity environments. The Mini PIR Sensor is a pyroelectric device, and it detects motion by sensing changes in the infrared levels emitted by surrounding objects. When motion is detected, the Mini PIR Sensor outputs a high signal on its output pin.

  • Small size that can be mounted through a hole (Recommended drill 7/16" or 11mm)
  • Voltage supply
    • Rev A 3.0 to 15 VDC
    • Rev B 2.7 to 6 VDC
  • Low working current (only 28uA @ 3VDC, 18uA @ 5VDC)
  • Detects movement up to 12ft away (depending on current environment temperature conditions)
  • 3-pin SIP package perfect for breadboard-friendly projects (you can also connect the PIR using a standard servo extension cable)

    Simple interface, reliable. The ability to use a wiring harness soldered to the board is a nice touch. Outperforms my other PIRs.
